My Story

David and Lauren, both from Austin & Carnley Solicitors, are taking on the Ride High 2026 challenge, a 100K cycle in aid of a charity doing genuinely brilliant work with young people across the local community. The firm is proud to be backing them both, sponsoring their entry as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting the causes and communities that matter.

David has been a supporter of Ride High for a number of years and needs little persuasion when an opportunity to help comes up. Having seen the work the charity does first-hand, he knows exactly what donations like yours make possible, and that's what's keeping his legs turning for 100 kilometres.

Lauren was drawn to the challenge by the life-changing impact Ride High has on some of the most vulnerable children in the local area. The charity works with young people who are referred to it, giving them access to something most of them have never experienced before, time spent in and around horses, learning to ride, and building a relationship with animals in a way that is calm, structured and quietly transformative. For children who may be struggling at home, at school, or simply finding it hard to connect with the world around them, that experience can be a turning point.

It helps them build confidence. It teaches patience, responsibility and resilience. It gives them a sense of achievement that they may not find anywhere else. And perhaps most importantly, it shows them that they are capable of more than they might have believed.

That is what Ride High does. And that is what every pound raised through this challenge will help fund.

If you'd like to get behind David and Lauren on their 100K ride, any donation, big or small, will make a real and lasting difference to a young person's life.
